Tarrant County Democratic/Progressive Organizations
Don’t agonize. Organize.
Like minded folks are out there, waiting to welcome you.

Tarrant County Democratic Party (TCDP)
TCDP is the primary political hub for Tarrant County.
Working with the Texas Democratic Party, it maintains a full-time office in Fort Worth, elects the Democratic County Chair, and directs many of the political operations in the county, including the creation of campaign materials.
The county party recruits and trains candidates for state and local offices as well as precinct chairs. TCDP holds quarterly meetings and puts on a variety of Get Out The Vote (GOTV) events and block walks. The organization is funded entirely by voluntary donations and through special fundraising events such as the Opal Lee Luncheon and a Mardi Gras Ball.

Indivisible Texas 12
Our Indivisible group in Congressional District 12 is a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering our community through positive civic engagement, the promotion of progressive values and advocating for policies that uplift working families.
We believe in the power of informed voters and engaged citizens to create meaningful changes in our district and beyond. All in CD12, whether in Tarrant County or beyond, are welcome to join us.
We organize protests and are very active on social media, especially Facebook and BlueSky. We offer downloadable zines to share information and help educate voters.

INDIVISIBLE TX24
Indivisible TX24 is an important part of a national progressive non-partisan movement (https://indivisible.org/).
Based in Northeast Tarrant County, the group’s efforts extend into Dallas county, focusing on calling attention to federal office holders for US Congressional District 24 and US Senators from Texas.
The group meets regularly in local restaurants, libraries and community centers. Some meetings feature speakers by ACLU representatives, advocates and Democratic office holders.
Organizing protests and rallies are where Indivisible TX24 really shines — bringing people together for peaceful but passionate rallies/protests at the offices of elected officials, “TeslaTakedowns” at dealerships, bridge brigades (holding protest signage over freeways), and absentee town halls for public servants who are evasive.
We frequently coordinate with other groups for events. There are no dues, but donations are appreciated.

FWA Indivisible Inclusive Logo-2.pngIndivisible Fort Worth Area
We are not here to play nice with authoritarianism. We are organizing to fight back against racist redistricting, Trump’s Project 2025 and every rigged system meant to silence our communities nationally and right here in Tarrant County.
From voter suppression to attacks on LGBTQ+ rights, public schools and economic justice…we educate, mobilize and build power. If you’re tired of performative politics and ready to protect democracy for real, we’re the group for you. Join us as we rewrite the future: together, louder and unapologetically.

Postcard Therapy
Postcards have been proven to be an effective way to prompt voters to action, most notably voters in precincts unlikely to be reached by block walkers or phone banks. And this group is a great way to get involved. We provide the supplies; all you have to do is show up!
We create Get Out The Vote postcards by hand, featuring applicable messages for Democratic candidates and issues. As we work, we socialize about pertinent topics and upcoming events. Come and go as you can, no need to RSVP.
The postcard group meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday of most months from 10am until noon at Market Street, 5605 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, in the private room above the coffee area.
We periodically pass a cup for voluntary donations to help the room rental and to buy stamps and supplies. The postcards are collected for months until just before each election.
This group has produced up to 25,000 postcards in a single election cycle.

Tarrant County Democratic Woman’s Club
Want to learn more about the local, state and national political landscape? Want to meet like-minded folks and get more involved? Join the club!
Founded in 1928, this storied organization focuses on women’s issues and electing Democratic women in Tarrant County. Meetings are held the 2nd Saturday of each month at Stage West. TCDWC hosts phenomenal guest speakers and provides an excellent forum for candidates.
Annual dues are $50 ($25 for students), which includes membership in Texas Democratic Women (the official Women’s Caucus for the Texas Democratic Party) and the National Federation of Democratic Women. TCDWC is a PAC, so a portion of dues, combined with proceeds from events, goes to support primarily Democratic women running for office. TCDWC also sponsors scholarships for Democratic women and hosts fun social events.
TCDWC is a great way to get involved at a state level. Members are eligible to attend an annual conference in Austin, as well as a summer retreat in a rotating Texas location. We also participate in a Blue Ribbon Lobby Day annually in Austin.
We’ve been marching together for nearly a century — come be part of history with us. (PS: You don’t have to be female to join.)
